Why is it that people that are unhealthy won’t miss a chance to take their 10 min smoke break, but people that are trying to get healthy won’t use that 10 min to do something healthy? Because we tend to have an all or nothing attitude to fitness. Come on, you know you have told yourself, “I don’t have time to workout today.” Do you have 10 min? Well, then you can get healthy. You can do two 10 min bodyweight workouts during the day and burn an additional 350 calories. Of course the more intense the workouts, the bigger the calorie burn but considering that I’m proposing to include 10 min breaks at work, I will give you two routines that you can do in your office without having to take a shower afterwards - well, maybe…. ;)

Anyway, the point is, you can do it!

Here are two easy-to-follow 10 min routines you can do anywhere: MELTDOWN in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, go!!!

Each of the exercises should be performed back-to-back with a 20 seconds on/10 seconds off cadence. Some exercises have two sides to it so you will perform each side for 20 seconds before moving on to the next exercise for a total of 5 x 20 second intervals. Rest for 1 minute between rounds and perform 3 rounds total.

Push Up

Side Lunge (left/right)

 

Routine 2:

Mountain Climbers

Curtsy Lunge (left/right)

Chair Triceps Dip

Bicycles
