Jess Clark

HEAT Coach | Personal Trainer | Nutrition Specialist

I’ve been involved in the Austin Fitness Community for over 7 years now, studying, practicing, and instructing a variety of group fitness programs. I began my fitness career as an outdoor boot camp coach before expanding into indoor cycling, indoor conditioning classes, and most recently yoga sculpt. I have certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in Personal Fitness Training and Fitness Nutrition. I also have Crossfit and Crossfit Kettlebell certifications, and well as Group Fitness Instructor certification from the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). In addition to personal training and leading boot camps at HEAT, you can also find me teaching at RIDE Indoor Cycling, and lifting weights in training for regional and national National Physique Committee (NPC) competitions, the amateur division of the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB). I have qualified for national-level competition three times in the Bikini Division, most recently placing 10th in my class at nationals in August of 2017. When I’m not coaching or training, I enjoy writing for my blog, creating content for social media and connecting with people there, and contributing regularly to Austin Fit Magazine.

As former marketing professional, I understand the demands that most of my working clients face as it relates to the achievement of their personal wellness goals. I appreciate their busy schedules and modern lifestyles and help them find a balance between working and playing hard. I help them find a nutrition and training protocol that allows them to look and feel their best. I meet them where they are, and we create a plan that will allow them to be successful and create new, healthy behaviors.

I hold a Master's and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Texas State University and served as Director of Marketing at a local software firm before I traded in my corner office for fitness full-time. After 7 years in my new career, my passion for all things wellness-related and my desire to help more people look and feel their best has motivated me to learn more and become the best coach I can be. I truly believe there is always something new to learn in health and fitness, and I enjoy the challenges it brings. If there’s a way to get more people to prioritize their health and make wellness an enjoyable pursuit, I will learn how to do it so that I can help more people live their best lives.
