HEAT Coach | Personal Trainer

A lifelong athlete, Kim grew up in Austin playing every sport possible — basketball, soccer, volleyball, running track, and powerlifting. As a loud, tenacious, competitive kid, fortunately coaches recognized Kim as a budding leader and gave her opportunities to develop those skills. Kim loved competing and contributing as a player and leader and decided at a young age that she wanted to help grow the game, inspire others, and make an impact on women’s sports beyond playing. She began coaching youth soccer and basketball, then quickly jumped into coaching high school aged athletes in club volleyball. Kim recognized that her relatable teaching & coaching style and experience as an athlete combined with a genuine drive to help people had potential to make a huge impact.

After being told for years that she could not make it full time as a coach, Kim decided to pursue additional education in order to expand her offerings. One of the other qualities Kim’s coaches recognized at a young age is if you tell her she can’t do something, Kim will be extra motivated to figure out how to prove them wrong — and she did. In 2018, Kim completed her personal training certification and “went for it.” Since then, Kim has been honored to train many people - virtually, in person, and through teaching group fitness classes. She loves helping others feel more comfortable in the gym, learn new equipment, and discover their strength — all while helping them feel safe and powerful and hopefully making them laugh along the way. Kim encourages everyone to focus on progress, not perfection. She will always encourage you to do your best, while reminding you that your best can look different each day.

Kim is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Association of Sports Medicine (NASM-CPT) and holds several other certifications including: Level I & Level II Boxing Fitness Trainer Certification and TRX Suspension Trainer Certification.

Kim lives just outside of Austin, Texas, with her husband, two sons, and two cats. Kim enjoys coffee, music, lifting heavy, sunshine, and living her best life!
