MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Julie M

Hello beautiful HEAT famiia! We are always telling you all that HEAT camps are good for any fitness level. Well, that also means that HEAT camps are good for an array of motivations as well! Today we are going to introduce you to Julie M, who trains at our SoFi studio.

Julie took a really tough period in her life, and used it for motivation to do the fitness transformation she had always wanted to. We'll let you read about it in her own words:

"I joined HEAT in January, at first for #revengebod2k18 due to a toxic relationship that ended at the beginning of 2018, but it turned into the best physical and mental transformation I could have ever asked for.

At the end of 2017, All I cared about was the number on the scale. I had a so called "support system" that had me convinced that the only way to get the body he had me thinking I wanted was to weigh 120lbs, never lift heavy, and only eat 1200 calories a day. By the end of the year, I weighed 123lbs but was completely stagnant in my progress and I was so unbelievably bored and frustrated with my workouts.

Because of all of that bullsh*t, at the start of this year I was so motivated to finally take control of my workout and get the body I wanted, and also to find a support system that helped me get there. My friend recommended HEAT, and after my first class and the MELTDOWN challenge, I was completely hooked.

During my first weigh in for the challenge, I was told exactly what I needed to hear: don’t you dare weigh yourself, eat more, you are already super fit, lift heavy!!! 4 phrases I had never heard when it game to my fitness journey, and 4 phrases I always had a hard time believing.

Over the course of the next 6 months, I have not only surpassed my goals, I mentally feel so much stronger, I eat so much more, and I am lifting heavier than I ever thought I could. I feel like I am proof that weight is truly just a number and cannot be the way you judge your fitness goals. I look great, I feel great, and I am so excited to keep working hard on my body and my mental endurance.

HEAT has truly made such a huge impact on me, and has also given me an amazing support system and family. The trainers are amazing and have instilled in me an I CAN attitude, not only in the gym but, in everything I do. Everyday, I hear Jenn in my head yelling "if it doesn't challenge you, then it doesn't change you!", and I have now taken that mentality and applied it to my everyday life, just ask my coworkers. ;)

Thanks, Fam."
